4cost exhibits at the AGRITECH Supplier Summit 2022
On 22 and 23 September, the Berlin Institute Supply Chain Management and AGCO hosted the third AGRITECH Supplier Summit in Augsburg. The event has become a well-known institution in the agricultural industry, where business representatives exchange ideas on technical innovations, trends and global topics such as sustainability.
This year, 4cost, represented by Managing Director Joachim Schöffer, was again present as an exhibitor at AGRITECH. At his side for the first time was Raphael Schlup, co-founder of the Swiss partner company coscomp GmbH. Together they presented 4cost’s innovative costing solutions to medium-sized and large companies on site.
“Inflation, supply chain disruptions and raw material shortages increase the already high cost pressure on suppliers and producers many times over. In addition, there is the demand for more sustainability along the entire value chain. In order to make the right decisions, companies need maximum cost transparency throughout the entire product life cycle. And this already from the early phase, in which the level of information is often still quite vague,” Mr Schöffer sums up the current situation in the industry. “This is exactly what our costing software and services make possible. Valid cost statements right from the start, quick cost analyses with any level of detail and reliable results prepared according to demand.”
In addition to the opportunity to create and maintain contacts, the exhibition offered interesting discussion panels, workshops and keynotes on topics such as CO2-neutral production, technical innovation as a driver for sustainability, machine learning and additive manufacturing. Joachim Schöffer moderated a workshop on “Equipment solutions for the future of agriculture”, in which Henkel AG, among others, was involved.
The event also featured the launch of the new book “The World Is Green”, edited by Josip T. Tomasevic, Angela Qu and Dr Hajo Drees. The publication deals with the impact of deglobalisation driven by resource scarcity and economic crises on global supply chains. Mr Schöffer is represented in it with a contribution in which he highlights innovative cost strategies in times of uncertain procurement situations.
4cost would like to thank all participants, exhibitors and especially the organiser of the AGRITECH Supplier Summit 2022. We look forward to further exchanges next year.
